Eickhoff 3D-Lifting ring
For safe lifting, pulling or other handling of heavy
loads it is necessary to provide suitable attachment
points for objects that cannot be handled or
transported manually (EN DIN 31000).
These requirements are neither met by eyebolts
(DIN 580) nor by eye nuts (DIN 582), which are
therefore not acceptable as attachment points.
The galvanized 3D lifting rings of H8 chain quality
developed by Eickhoff (6 versions with load
capacities from 1000 to 8000 kg) meets the requirements
of DIN standards 5687, 5688 and the
German mining industry standard RAG 726470.
The lifting rings can be screwed into blind bores
or together with additional hex nuts (minimum
grade 12) can be used with through bores.
Each attachment point carries the load with a safety
factor of 4 against breakage in all permissible
load directions. It can rotate (360°) and swivel
(180°) for automatic adoption to the direction of
pull.
The lifting rings have been fully tested by the
German mining industry. Two lifting rings were
installed underground for 379 days, exposed to
mine water and air at a temperature of approximately
31°C. Acceptance certificates were awarded
from RAG and Westfalische Berggewerkschaftskasse
(DMT) that underline the versatile
applications of the lifting rings as attachment
points for transportation, assembly, disassembly
and also during the manufacture of large heavy
parts.
Patent protection was granted under
No. DE-PS 3204930.
